Ingredients sugar cookies

2/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
4 tsp milk
2 cup sifted all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

how to make sugar cookies

preheat oven to 375

cream shortening,sugar& vanilla.

Add egg & milk; beat till light n fluffy.

sift dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture.

Divide dough in half, cover & chill at least 1 hr.

On lightly floured surface, roll to 1/8 in. thickness.

On lightly floured surface,roll to 1/8 in. thickness. bake on ungreased cookie sheet.

bake for 8 to 10 min.
